Adorned

Adorned. Bride. Beauty. Robed. Forgiven. Realized.*

The work of Your hand and Your love are deep and life-engaging.  Creating-anew life from the places it simply didn’t exist before.  But not just any life.  Adorned.  Ornamented with color and beauty that is vibrant and reflective of something truly alive.

Jewels of joy & grace & peace reveal the love of the Giver, and the value of the receiver.  Not just living, but celebrating.*

“I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of His righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.”*

Chosen.  Adorned.  A bridegroom and a bride.*

Communion.  Deeply loved.

Why would I consider living any other way?  Are ornaments of joy & grace to heavy?  Does the brilliance of love shine to brightly?  These are never true, but yet I have many times, and many seasons, chosen to live without them.

Perhaps it is the absence of communion, or a heart that didn’t believe.  But now, You remind – and they remain.  You gift and I cling.

Joy is not meant for a display case.  But for wearing.  Every day when we commune, You offer all Your beauty to Your bride.  Today is the day to say ‘yes, it is for me’.  Joy is mine.  Peace is mine.  Grace & power are mine.  They are mine.*  They have my name on them and are the beauty for today’s living.

I like beauty.  I need beauty.  The world needs beauty.

Gifted, and received.

No condemnation.  But life and beauty.

“May the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us…”.*

“And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.*
